How money is most often lost on shipping from China
Understated the customs value.
The scheme works right up until an audit. A year or two later comes an additional assessment of duty and VAT plus a fine — for an amount many times the 'savings.'
Got the HS code wrong.
The cargo gets stuck at customs for weeks while payments are recalculated and documents requested. Demurrage and missed deadlines — at the consignee's expense.
Sent a prepayment to an intermediary agent.
The money went to an individual's card or an opaque firm — if something goes wrong there's no one to turn to, and no one controls the cargo.
With official delivery you get a customs declaration for every shipment, VAT you can reclaim and a full document pack for selling in Russia.
How a shipment works: documents and money
We determine the exact HS code before the shipment begins.
We request the description, photos and specifications and select the code in advance. That's why the estimate takes 1–2 days, not an hour.
We declare at the actual value.

A contract with a Russian legal entity, payment in roubles.
Payment goes to the company's bank account inside the Russian legal framework.
A commission agreement with a cost breakdown.
Purchase, logistics, customs payments and commission as separate lines. Every line is backed by a document.
We prepare the permits in advance.
EAEU technical-regulation certificates, state-registration certificates (SGR), notifications, Chestny Znak — we work out the list before shipping.
We insure the cargo and answer for it ourselves.
We run two companies of our own: an exporter in China and an importer in Russia. We receive, ship and clear the cargo ourselves.

Depends on the method: air and road — 7–14 days, rail — 20–30, sea — 40–55. The exact time depends on the route and destination; we'll tell you during the estimate.
Official shipping is formal customs clearance: you get an import declaration, pay duty and VAT (which can be claimed as a deduction), and receive a full set of documents to sell legally. Cargo is import without full clearance, which creates the risk of additional charges and fines on audit.
We ship consolidated cargo (LCL) from 1 m³ and full containers (FCL). For small batches we'll arrange a consolidated shipment.
It depends on the category. Many goods require EAEU technical-regulation certificates, SGR or notifications. We determine the list before shipment and prepare the documents in advance so the cargo doesn't get stuck at customs.

Directly. We have our own operating company in Guangzhou and a legal entity in Russia — we receive, ship and clear the cargo ourselves.
